---------------------------- Term 1 Report Cards Issued Report cards for term 1 were issued in homeroom on Friday, November 13. With the ability for parents to access Powerschool online, teachers may not issue a comment on the report card. ------------------------------
An incomplete grade is assigned to a student who missed significant work due to absence during the course of a term. It is the student's responsibility to arrange a time to to make up the work and complete it by November 19. |

------------------------------ Student of the week: 11/2-11/6 Julia Kanter is currently a member of the AP Spanish Class who is very involved in helping to raise funds for on-going missionary work in the Dominican Republic. Her latest endeavor was to organize an event at the high school to raise funds for the construction of a library there. Julia is also a wonderful and caring student who is ready to help her classmates with the varied challenges in the AP Spanish course. Her sincerity for helping and reaching out to others in school and "far away" places makes her a very wonderful and unique individual. |

Support your favorite ORR Student-Athlete with an ORR Sports Program message-ad! The ORR Athletic Booster Club sponsors a Sports Program booklet for each season. These Sports Programs feature photographs of each ORR sports team (Freshmen, JV, and Varsity), team captains, and team seniors, as well as complete game schedules for every team. These Sports Programs are supported by ads purchased by area businesses and are distributed free of charge at home games. They're also great keepsakes of your son or daughter's fun times at ORR. The ORR Athletic Booster Club is now accepting message-ads for the Winter 2009-2010 ORR Sports Program booklet.

------------------------------ 2009-2010 Superintendent's Award: Brian Heacox On November 12th, Old Rochester Regional High School senior Brian
Heacox of Marion, son of Dr. and Mrs. Steve Heacox, received the 2009
Superintendent's Award. It was presented to him by Superintendent Dr.
Bill Cooper during the ORR District School Committee meeting. This
prestigious award is presented once a year to a current senior at the
high school with exceptionally strong academic and extra-curricular
achievements. In addition to his challenging course work, Brian is
captain of the ORR fall golf team and spring tennis team.
Former recipients include Colleen Sinnott, Class of 2009 (Boston
College), C. Tucker Johnson, Class of 2008 (Middlebury College) and
Jared Dourdeville, Class of 2007 (Harvard University).
