The District is looking for substitute custodians/cafeteria for all schools in the Towns of Marion - Mattapoisett - Rochester
Present hourly rate is $10.00 per hour.

Substitute Teaching

If you are interested in becoming a substitute teacher or substitute aide please fill out an application form (located in the Useful Documents Section of the website) and return it to the Superintendent's Office. You must have at least a High School Diploma to substitute.


Substitute rates for Old Rochester Regional School District (Marion - Mattapoisett - Rochester) are as follows:

Long Term Substitute Teachers - (Bachelors Degree Required)
As of July 1, 2002

Bachelors Beginning Step (21+ days)
Long-term substitute teachers must teach in same assignment without a break in service. If substitute coverage is anticipated for more than 20 days, the beginning step of the bachelors' scale may be applied from day one. If the substitute coverage was anticipated to be 20 days or less and goes beyond 20 days, the bachelor scale beginning step may be applied retroactive to day one of the coverage.
